What's up next?

wordswag_1496716775707I apologize for missing a week of posting. I have been busy, busy, busy. I had a work deadline that prevented me from getting any sewing done the last couple of weeks.  Plus I was out of town for Memorial Day weekend and add to that my birthday was last week. All of that combined had me all out of whack and now I am trying to catch up.Today I'm going to let you in on my next projects!ginghamI'm more than halfway done with this off this shoulder dress for my sister. She wanted a gingham off the shoulder dress after seeing one on Instagram and this McCalls 7543 was almost an exactly replica. The only difference is the sleeve but she decided she preferred this split sleeve. Since these are pretty simple to whip up I agreed to make her one. I found this fabric at Joann but I couldn't find it online to share. I plan to line the sleeves to avoid a narrow hem on those sleeve ties. Hopefully this dress will be Thursdays post.tunicUp next is this Simplicity 8295. This is another selfless sew for a customer/coworker who wanted a linen tunic. This pattern includes two techniques that will be new to me; a placket and a button cuff. I've read through the directions and I hope they are as clear as they seem. I really want to get this to her by next week.dashikiI have made three Dashiki bodycon dresses and sold them all. This one is finally mine! I've been holding on to the denim colorway of this Lycra dashiki print panels for this dress. I will use McCalls 6886 for this simple bodycon dress which allows this dashiki print to be the star of the show.Dashiki DressIf I can finish these three projects by the weekend (or a least before noon on Saturday) I'm going to attempt to complete the next two projects before next weekend so that I can wear these while I am at Mimi G's 6th Annual Fashion, Sewing and Style Conference. That's a challenge but I'm going to try.KatieThis Katie dress is one of the two free patterns from SewSewDef Magazine's June Issue. I have been wanting to make a shirt dress pattern and I love the high low hem and the loose fit of this Katie pattern from Mimi G. I'm a little nervous because this would be my first collar construction. I've already decided on snaps because I hate buttonholes. I may have some light-mid weight woven  in my stash that I can use, but I doubt I have a 3-1/2 yd piece. I'm thinking linen, but solid or a print? Hmm...RIRI-ENVELOPE-2_grandeI have two trips coming up this summer and I'd love to have a new swimsuit to rock. I just love this plunging neckline one piece. Since swimsuit take so little fabric and this one if fairly minimal I'm hoping it will be a quick sew. I really want to get this one done it time. I have quite a few pieces of swim suit fabric remnants lying around from my obsession of DIYing swimsuits two summers ago (only one of which was wearable). Below are the two I'm debating between, let me know what you think.swimririSo this is what you should be seeing soon on the blog barring any more of life's interruptions. LOL

What's on your sewing table? How many projects ahead do you plan? or do you wait until you finish your current project to select the next?
