Heather Gray Joggers - McCalls 7061

2016-02-05-06.59.58-2.jpg.jpgMcCalls 7061 is becoming a go to pattern. I have already made 2 views of this pattern, View D-the sweatshirt dress and View F- modified joggers. I had enough of the stretch denim heather gray knit left over from the sweatshirt dress for one more item. Initially my little fashionista was going to get her own version but I got selfish (bad me). This fabric is thicker and sturdier than say a ponte so I thought it would be great for joggers.2016-02-05-06.59.53-2.jpg.jpgI loved the way my first pair of joggers using M7061 turned out so I decided to make another pair. Though this view is actually pajama bottoms they make an excellent jogger because of the tapered leg and hem band. My first pair of these joggers feature metallic accents, but this time I kept it simple. My typical pants alteration of lengthening the back crotch was necessary, but other than that I followed the pattern to a tee and I am pleased with the result.2016-02-05-07.00.07-2.jpg.jpgI almost wish I had made the hoodie (View A) of this fabric instead of the sweater dress (View D) so that I could have a cute and comfy track set. On the other hand I love my dress so I guess I should just order some more of this fabric and make a matching hoodie. Problem solved, right?! We'll see. I actually have already sewn up a hoodie from this pattern as well. I'll be sharing that soon.2016-02-05-07.00.11-2.jpg.jpgPattern: McCalls 7061Pattern Description: Close-fitting tops and dresses have sleeve bands. A and B: stitched hem on hood, wrong side shows.
