Lolo Blouse

Pattern:

The Anna Dress is a pullover woven dress that features a flattering waist cinching sash with an asymmetrical hankerchief front hem. It also features, my favorite, in seam pockets! Dolman sleeves give this dress a caftan feel. Another plus is this dress features no closures making this dress a quick and satisfying sew.

Fabric:

The pattern recommends cotton and cotton blends, linen, poplin, shirtings or chambray. I used a light/medium crepe from Fabric Mart. This fabric worked well, but I will definitely follow the directions next time and select a lighter fabric such as a voile or a chambray.

Modifications:

I did shorten bodice by an inch as I know Style Sew Me patterns are designed for a taller woman and I am 5'5". Next time I will shorten the bodice by an additional inch as I am high waisted.

Handkerchief hem

I also ended up taking in and inch on each side seam. This was my fault as I based my size on my waist size in the size chart. However I knew this was a loose fitting dress and I prefer my garments more fitted. After I took the dress in it worked well.

Summary:

The Anna dress is a simple to sew comfortable dress that is great to wear on a day full of errands. The asymmetrical hem and waist cinch gives this dress caftan with a twist vibes!
