M6752-nobeltfront-web

Pattern:

I've sewn this dress twice before. The first time I paired it with a tulip skirt I drafted using The Felted Fox's tutorial. This is probably my favorite version, but I gave it to my sister as it's now too small. I used a midweight scuba the second go round and I think the fabric was just to bulky for the gathers. I never wear it, I'm not even sure where it is.M6752webThe dress sews up quickly with just four pattern pieces and the instructions are clear. All you have to do is gather the front shoulders to match the back and attach, hem the neckline, attach the bodice sides, attach the skirt sides, attach the skirt to the bodice and add the elastic. Oh and hem the skirt, that's all.

Fabric:

M6752-nobeltside-webI'm not sure where this jersey fabric is from. I know I grabbed some army green jersey during my last trip to LA, but I thought it was more yardage. Regardless, this lightweight jersey is perfect for this dress. Based on the results of all three version I can tell yo that this dress definitely work better with the lighter knits. This knit as 4-way stretch but 2 way will work just fine.

Modifications:

M6752-beltfronttree-webNone besides grading between sizes for the bodice and skirt.
