It's Fall Yall! Cardigans

It took a while for fall temps to hit the southeast, but I think autumn here to stay. The month of October started off unseasonably warm in the mid 90s, however temps in the last two weeks have hovered (mainly) in the 60-70 degree range. I always say summer is my favorite season to sew for because pieces like sundresses and tank tops are usually quick to sew and require couple of yards of fabric. However as the temps started dropping I realized I was excited about sewing cardigans, coats, sweaters and joggers. In that spirit I'm going to re-share some of my favorite cardigans. They are perfect for early fall when layering is essential.
Who doesn't love M6844! This pattern has been extremely popular for years. It has 186 pattern reviews!  Sadly it is now OOP, but I'm sure you can find a copy of it online if you don't have it. The shawl and variety of peplum options made this style a top seller. Being a great intro to sewing with knits pattern didn't hurt either. I've made two of these and while the polka dot one above is my favorite the solid black one gets more wear. See my full review here.Do you have a favorite cardigan pattern? Are you excited about fall sewing? Let me know below.~Tip
