Summer Separates Navy Collection: Wrap Pencil Skirt

I love a good pencil skirt and anything that wraps, so this pattern is a win-win! As soon Mimi G shared this pattern I knew I had to have it. The only thing not to like was the buttonholes, lol. Thankfully my machine cooperated with me and this linen so I was able to sew all 6 buttonholes with no issues. Finally!This is the same designer linen that I used for the wrap top in this set.  I love it! Navy fabric needs gold buttons! I thought about doing white because it would have tied in the top a tad better, but I think I may swap the blue buttons on the top for gold ones.This skirt worked really well with the wrap top in this collection, together it almost looked like a one piece. I feel a bit like a flight attendant in this, but a very chic one. The skirt itself was easy to sew and easy to fit as there are plenty of seams to adjust. By accident (really it was a case of me not paying attention) I cut the longer version, but when it came time to test fit it I decided I preferred the shorter view so I cut to 1" below the shorter hemline.I paired this skirt with two other knit tops I have in my closet, a twist front navy circle print top and a white tee along with some white mules.
