Can you believe I didn't have a LBD in my wardrobe? What kind of sewist am I? This had to be remedied fast. Thankfully Fabric Mart had this amazing black ponte in stock and I was perfect for S8330! The pattern does call for woven fabric, but with consideration a woven garment can often be made in a sturdy knit. I based my sizing off of the finished measurements. The sleeveless halter dresses can be made short, long with a leg slit, or with a mermaid tail of tulle. Dresses features an invisible zipper and a button and loop closure on the neck band.Sizing: 4-12, 12-20 I sewed a 16 front/18 back for the bodice and a 18 front/20 back skirt.Difficulty: 2/easyFabric Used: Black ponte from Fabric MartDoes it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope? Yes, exactly like it.Were the instructions easy to follow? Maybe, I'd like to sew the open back version.Would I recommend it to others?
