Eden Jumpsuit by Designer Stitch

When I saw the call for testers for the Eden Jumpsuit (on the Sewing Portfolio Facebook Group) I quickly applied and was selected! The Eden includes 5 views; two sleeve options (cold shoulder and sleeveless) along with two length options (cropped or bermuda) as well as an elastic waist pants only option. The bodice has separate pattern pieces for cup sizes B - DD.EdenBowI opted for the sleeveless jumpsuit because I'm iffy on cold shoulders. Ann of Designer Stitch recommended linen or a linen weight fabric. Thankfully I had enough designer white linen from Fabric Mart left over from my White Linen Ruffle dress for the bodice. Right then I decided to color block my Eden.EdennOriginally, I paired it with some navy blue textured mystery fabric from my stash, but it didn't work well with the linen bodice. Which meant a last minute trip to Joann because I didn't have enough linen in my stash for the pants. This gray arrow print cotton/linen blend allowed me to salvage the white linen bodice I had already sewn up and stick to my colorblocked idea. I lengthened the belt a bit because I love along belt.EdenFrontCrossThough I will agree that this pattern is best suited for advanced beginner, the instructions were very clear and could be attempted by a adventurous beginner. If you have worked with facings and can install a invisible zipper you can make the Eden. The only new step I encountered was the elastic waist paired with a zipper, but there is nothing tricky there.EdensideI didn't make any changes to this pattern and the only thing I would add in future may be thread belt loops at each side seam.
