Chevron Dress: Ana Dress by Suco

AnaDressTreeStumpI had the pleasure to test the Ana Tee & Dress by Suco by Susana. Susana describes this new pattern as "a girl’s tee and A line dress, with shaped waist (from size 4), neckband, and optional waist seam that is perfect for color blocking". My favorite thing about this pattern is it can be used year round. The five sleeve options, which include cap, short and long with optional cuffs, can go from spring to winter. Pair the cap or short sleeve tee with shorts for a classic summer look. The dress can be worn in the spring with a light cardigan thru the heat of summer without. During the fall and winter months pair the long sleeve dress with tights or leggings and the long sleeve tee with jeans or joggers. The color blocking option and optional waist seam are added bonuses. My initial plan was to sew the color blocked version with a black bodice and long sleeves with a B&W chevron skirt. However, Miss Socialite loves chevron and requested an all chevron dress, so all chevron it is! This interlock knit was purchased at a remnant sale at a local discount fabric store and this was the perfect use for it.AnaDressSideI sewed a size 10 for Miss Socialite which features the shaped waist allowing for a slightly fitted silhouette while still being age appropriate. The pattern was easy to sew and would be great for a beginner as the instructions and illustrations are clear and straightforward.AnaDressBackThis pattern features the layer feature that I love which allows you to print just the size you need. For those of you who despise taping and cutting an A0 print shop version is also included. In additional to the various sleeve lengths, cuff options and optional waist seam this pattern includes two hems (tee and dress) . I'm already planning a tee with cuffed long sleeve tee and a color blocked dress.AnaDressJumpAs a tester for this pattern I can assure you that Susana took our feedback and tweaked the pattern accordingly to provide a perfected fit for your little (or not so little) girl. Take advantage of the introductory price thru Saturday, September 23rd here!AnaDressGardenPattern: Ana Tee & Dress by Suco by SusanaPattern Description: Girl’s tee and A line dress, with shaped waist (from size 4), neckband, and optional waist seam that is perfect for color blocking.
